Preview Just a Few Seconds Without Playing The Whole Comp
Drag two handles instead of scrubbing past everything else.
When you’re working on a five-second Fusion animation but only need to check a small section, there’s no reason to repeatedly play through the entire composition.
You can limit the playback range to just the part you want to review.
Look at the timeline bar in the Fusion page and find the trim handles. Think of these handles like In and Out points for your preview.
Drag the first handle to the point where you want playback to begin. Then drag the second handle to where you want it to end.
Now when you play your composition, Fusion will focus on that selected section instead of running through the entire five-second animation.
This is particularly useful when you’re fine-tuning a transition, checking a particular effect, or repeatedly reviewing a small portion of an animation. You can make your changes and immediately replay the same section without constantly scrubbing back and forth through frames you don’t need to see.
Once you’re finished reviewing that section, simply drag the handles back to their original positions to restore the full composition range.
It’s a small workflow adjustment, but it can make testing animations much faster — especially when you’re repeatedly checking the same few seconds.
Two handles. One focused preview. No unnecessary playback.
