Jump Straight To Your Mouse

Jump Straight To Your Mouse

A new Resolve 21 shortcut for navigating huge node trees.

If your Fusion node tree has grown into a massive web of nodes, finding a specific part of your composition can quickly become frustrating. You zoom out, scroll around, and hunt through the Flow view just to get back to the area you need.

There’s a much faster way in DaVinci Resolve 21.

Instead of manually navigating through the node tree, simply move your mouse to the area you want to focus on and press C.

Fusion instantly centers the Flow view around your mouse position, bringing that part of your node tree into focus.

This is especially useful when you’re working on complex compositions with dozens or even hundreds of nodes. Rather than repeatedly zooming, panning, and searching for the right section, you can simply point your mouse where you want to go and use the shortcut.

It turns those moments of “Where did that node go?” into a one-key jump.

The shortcut is particularly handy when working between different sections of a large composition. You can quickly move your cursor to the area you want, press C, and continue working without interrupting your workflow.

It’s a small navigation shortcut, but once your Fusion compositions get large enough, it can save a surprising amount of time.

So the next time you’re lost inside a huge node tree, don’t start dragging the Flow view around looking for your nodes.

Point your mouse where you want to go, hit C, and jump straight there.
